Interior Design Cost in Pakistan
There are two numbers in interior design, and people often confuse them. The design fee (concept, layout, 3D and drawings) is usually charged per room or per square foot; turnkey execution (actually building and furnishing the space) is charged per square foot of finish. Here is what each typically costs in Pakistan in 2026.
Design fee vs turnkey.
- Design fee only — you get the concept, space planning, material and lighting scheme, photoreal 3D and the drawings to execute. Typically charged at roughly PKR 75–200 per sq ft, or about PKR 30,000–150,000 per room, depending on detail. You then execute with your own contractor.
- Turnkey (design + execution) — we design and deliver the finished space: false ceilings, lighting, joinery, furniture, finishes. Typically PKR 1,500–5,000+ per sq ft of covered area, driven almost entirely by the finish level.
Most clients start with the design fee to lock the look and budget, then decide how much to execute.
What different rooms cost.
Living / drawing room
The most-designed space — seating, media, lighting and a feature wall. Higher finish and joinery push the per-foot rate up.
Bedroom suite
Wardrobes, bed wall, soft lighting and calm materials — joinery is the main cost driver.
Kitchen —
Per foot, usually the priciest room: cabinetry, counters, appliances and services all concentrate here.
Office / commercial fit-out
Priced by area and brand requirement — workstations, meeting rooms, reception and services.
What changes the price.
- Finish level — the biggest lever; imported materials and bespoke joinery can multiply the per-foot rate.
- Scope — full home vs a single room; design-only vs turnkey.
- Custom vs ready-made — bespoke furniture and millwork cost more than off-the-shelf.
- Services — new electrical, false ceilings, AC and smart systems add up.
- Condition — a fresh space is cheaper than stripping out and redoing an existing one.
