A 1 kanal plot is 20 marla — about 4,500 sq ft, most commonly 50 × 90 feet (500 square yards). After the bylaw margins, the covered area is generous:

  • Single storey — roughly 3,000–3,500 sq ft of covered area, before any basement.
  • Double storey — about 6,500–7,500 sq ft plus a mumty, and a basement can add another 2,500–3,000 sq ft of cinema, gym or guest space.
